Mark Wilcock, Nick Watson, Chris Padgett and Cliff Sewell infrontLeading multi-disciplined recruitment group Sewell Moorhouse with offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Doncaster has successfully completed a deal which sees former Managing Director Philip Hill leave the business. Cliff Sewell, owner, said “The decision to make change was mutual as it allowed me to drive extensive growth and continue to develop the business. The deal was good for both myself and Phil and the advice from Hammonds Solicitors and MGI Watson Buckle has proven invaluable”.

Sewell Moorhouse has seen considerable increase in excess of 30% in turnover year on year and staff growth constant at 25%. The business with an annual turnover in excess of £7 million planned for 2008 sees the business going from strength to strength. The decision to open a new office in Hull next month with further offices planned in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Edinburgh over the coming months is a natural progression of this success story.

Cliff said “Since forming the business in 1997 my plan has always been to establish Sewell Moorhouse as the leading independent multi-disciplined professional recruitment business in the UK. I am pleased to say that with our incredible people and loyal clients and candidates we are well on the way to achieving this”

The group continues its recruitment drive in Accountancy & Finance, Secretarial and Public Practice whilst looking to launch into Executive Search, Banking, Human Resources and the international markets as part of their long-term strategy.

Cliff said “The Yorkshire recruitment market offers great potential and we are delighted to be working with some of the most prestigious businesses and individuals in our region, seeing more key individuals move up North to secure high profile roles is a good sign for Yorkshire business”.
