Many people suffer a long commute from Sheffield in order to find a position to match their career aspirations, should some current trends continue this may not become the only option. Whilst not in large volumes, I am recruiting some positions comparable to ones you will find in London. The salaries are paying in the £six figures, they are within dynamic acquisitive companies and there is considerable involvement with investors, banks and the stock market.

A London based client who is looking to relocate a finance function to Sheffield was taken aback when I mentioned that we have a good supply of newly qualified Chartered Accountants (I know when I worked in London they were like gold dust). When I told them you can get them for less than a £40,000 salary they were ready to bite my hand off. When they mentioned they were willing to pay London Salaries in the North I was so excited there were no hands left to bite! On top of the salaries, the roles they are looking to recruit for are exceptional and would satisfy career aspirations of high achievers.
