Sheffield’s accounting community came together recently at the annual 5-a-side football competition organised by Sewell Moorhouse. This was the third annual event – this time held at Goals in Sheffield – a fantastic venue for such a competition.
This year saw record attendance with over 140 people turning out for a great evening – relaxed and informal, yet fuelled by competitive spirit!
The semi final round was played by Barber Harrison & Platt, Hebblethwaite’s, Hawsons and Sutton McGrath, with Hebblethwaite’s clinching the 2007 title in an exciting final, with a 2 – 1 win over 2006 champions Barber Harrison & Platt.
Man of the Match went to Danny Hattington of Hawsons who demonstrated first class goal keeping skills all night!
Dan Morgan of Hebblethwaites said “The competition between the teams was very strong, with a lot of good players. We played pretty well for most of it and when you get to the final it’s a one-off game and we were lucky enough to win it.”
Justin Barber from Sewell Moorhouse said “This was the third event of its kind in Sheffield. It’s a great night out and Sewell Moorhouse are delighted that it’s growing in popularity year on year.”
