Sewell Moorhouse’s new Doncaster office – at Shaw Wood Business Park – was officially opened on Thursday 10 August by Sue Scholey, President of the Chamber of Commerce.
Around 30 people attended the informal event, including representatives from the Chamber, Sewell Moorhouse staff and a number of Doncaster business associates.
Sewell Moorhouse – a specialist finance and administration recruitment consultancy - was founded in Doncaster in 1998 and has since gained and sustained considerable growth. However, 2005-6 has seen operations developing significantly. The office has experienced record results with a phenomenal increase in activity; the accounting and finance division alone has achieved overall sales growth of 88% and 40% of placements made by the senior recruitment division were with new clients to the business. This growth is seen to be intrinsically linked to the more overarching buoyancy of Doncaster’s local economy, including inward investment, higher value jobs, good tourism prospects, etc. Sewell Moorhouse also collected an Award for Excellence through Business Development at the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards.
Sue Scholey highlighted that “this is a great example of a local business, benefiting from the growth and development of Doncaster.
