Sewell Moorhouse Awards Dinner

The event was a celebration of the company’s successes in 2009 with awards being presented to its star performers, top employees and those who help to make it all happen in supporting roles.

The coveted Top Biller award went to one of Sewell Moorhouses’s longest serving employees, Karen Caswell.  Karen has worked in the Sheffield office for more than 11 years and has had yet another tremendously successful year covering the Temporary Finance market.  Karen’s hard work and commitment to the company was further acknowledged when she was awarded with the CEO’s Choice Award.  Cliff Sewell, CEO said of her “Karen continually shows outstanding commitment not only to her work and the company but also to her family, she is exactly what we as a company, are about.”

The Top Biller awards for the Qualified Finance and Secretarial/Admin markets went to James Johnson and Jessica Dockerty respectively.

Bryan Shaw – Employee of the Year (as voted for by employees)

Leeds Junior Finance Team – Deal of the Year

Claire Muddiman – Back office/support person of the Year

Teresa Jones - Outstanding Achievement in Work

Lis Reed – Outstanding Achievement outside of Work

Lisa Walker – Idea of the Year

On a lighter note two further awards were given to Laura Halloran and Bradley Roger for Muppet Comment of the Year and Nigel’s Fashion Award respectively.

The presentation was followed by live music performed by The Sharp Cuts who were excellent and really got the party started.  A DJ ensured that the party went into the early hours with everyone dancing the night away.

Cliff was overwhelmed with the success of the evening and commented “These winners prove that despite a challenging year in the industry we continue to be successful. The employees of Sewell Moorhouse are what make us the company we are, they are loyal, committed, hard working and know how to have fun.  Tonight has been a good, good night!”
